Totally fell off the bandwagon, but I'm back now.. On a brand new iMac that I have spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to get photos off my camera, open them in photoshop, save them as jpegs then upload them.  I think I have the bugs all worked out now.

Now what I have I ben up to?? BAKING

So much baking

I had to do almost 40 of these for a bunch of volonteers as thanks you's for all their hard work this year.

Then there was Christmas stuff.  I had to make jewelry, make gift cards, make christmas cards, make digital albums, load digital picture frames and hand paint/embellish store bought gifts.  NONE of this was for me, it was all for friends.  Here is the guitar I did for my niece.  It didn't photograph all that well but you get the idea.

Other than that.... ya right, like I have any other time.  Looking forward to my 2 weeks off at Christmas.

A trip to the water park

We have seasons passes to Bingemans and after a whole summer of going the kids finally got the nerve to stand under the giant dumping bucket. (well almost... you an see my niece Emma running like mad to get out of its way)

Another Holiday done

So we went camping in Tobermory and we saw rattlesnakes and beavers and ducks and turtles and frogs and chipmunks and birds....

The kids had a blast, I relaxed. it was all good.

going back was hard

after almost 3 weeks of holidays I went back to work. It was not easy. Good thing I love my job and my kids...

I decided to start painting again. On my time off I visited some wonderful art galleries and the bug has bitten again. I seem to be doing less photography (can you hear JJ cheering in the background?) so I think I will pick up a brush again. I have some bare wall space that could stand to be filled.

Wine Lover's Unite

Well what would a week of work be without a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake to stock up on some favorite wines and find some new ones too.

Out enjoying our summer.

Some of the kids favorite things to do are the things that don't cost a cent. We decided to take the dogs down to the river to swim off some of their energy. They kids ended up all wanting to come and then it turned into a picnic.

We saw giant fish at the bottom of the dam and a ton of wildflowers and butterflies and "spikys" and precious stones.

Quite and adventure....Did the guys feel let down by this day?

of course not. Grandpa Bud showed up for dinner in his BMW and after lots of begging he let the guys take it out for a spin.

He really is my child

some days I can totally see myself in JJ. Hmm laying in the hammock swing eating an ice cream in the shade on one of the hottest days of the summer.

Too bad he took my chair. I had to stand....

HAPPY CANADA DAY

ok so I'm late. Well I'm just late with posting my pics. JJ and I had a blast just the 2 of us for Canada Day. We went to Bingeman's water park for the late afternoon until it closed at 8 ten got changed and watched the fireworks they had at the park. it was nice and close to home plus JJ ran into a friend from school so he had some one to play with the whole time.

He decided to have a camp out last night with the kids.
They made a campfire and roasted marshmallows and all in all made a mess and had a fun time.

New look

I figured out how to change my blog to look much nicer... boy it took a while and a lot of trial and error... I'm so glad I saved the original HTML file before I started to mess around.

Now that I know how to do it I may just change it up more often.

Enjoying the last days of school

We got a chance to say good bye to all the other kids, their parents and the teachers today with a picnic. We played games, made a craft and ate lots of yummy snacks.

JJ was awesome. He and his 2 best friends (the 3 musketeers) were sharing and giggling and being them.

JJ gave his end of year present to his teacher and I think she is going to really miss this class. They are one great bunch of kids.

After the storm...

Well I guess the storm wasn't all bad. JJ got to play in the hail, the flowers survived and we got to look at this afterwards.

Only my child

Yesterday we had a huge storm. It started out as just rain and I had to run out under JJ's little umbrella to try and get the patio cushions out of the downpour before they got too wet. JJ thought it looked like fun (it was so not fun, it was COLD!) So as soon as I yell "the rain just turned to hail" he grabs his spider man umbrella and out the door he goes. Yep that my son running around in the hail screaming like a loonatic.

The only reason he came back in is because a hail stone nailed him on the knee and I guess it hurt pretty bad. He is still complaining about it today to anyone that will listen to him.

He graduated!!

My little guy is no longer in kindergarden. He starts grade 1 in the fall. He is already a huge class clown but at least he knows when to be serious. (NEVER in front of a camera, that is so the time to goof I guess)

Update# 5

Summer is finally here. Although with the weather the last week its hard to tell sometimes. JJ is spending almost all of his time outside. Yeah for me. I MUCH prefer this to him and the dogs running around inside at high speeds.
